England U19 v’s Haverford School Alumini

The England U19 Team continued their final preparations with a warm up game against a Haverford School Alumini side made up of college players.

On a very hot and humid Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia, the team lost a close game 13-11. Coach Wenham was pleased with the performance with all the players making contributions in different areas of the field. The goals came from all over the park with 10 players on the score sheet. Goalie Ant Hayes lead the way with a full field run to put it stick side in the top corner! Not to be out done long stick Rob Grubisic cleared the ball and continued to goal burying it past the keeper.

A good overall team performance, with encouraging returns from injures by Mike Armstrong and Pete Hayes.

The team fly out tomorrow morning to Seattle followed by a bus trip up to Vancouver, where they will be staying at the Simon Fraser University.
